Hello,
I am an architect and artist originally from Tbilisi, Georgia, now living in Berlin, Germany. I divide my time between working as an exhibition designer and creating sculptures.
My artistic practice explores the intersection of architecture, memory, and materiality. Drawing from both my architectural background and personal experiences, I investigate themes of identity, place, and belonging. The work is also shaped by the complex political situation in my homeland, Georgia, and its impact on individual and collective memory.
Working primarily with chamotte clay, I create organic, landscape-like forms inspired by architecture, nature, and cultural narratives. Hand-building allows for an intuitive process that balances structural thinking with openness to transformation.
Glazes, textures, recycled metals, and glass play a central role in my work. Embracing the unpredictability of materials and firing, each piece becomes a dialogue between intention and chance, resulting in unique surfaces and forms that evoke fragmented landscapes and personal narratives.
